Composition, Candids, and Coverage
This April, the High School Journalism Institute will host a 1-day photography workshop for teens. The workshop is open to students ages 13-18. No experience is needed.
Improve your photos at this free weekend workshop!
- Date and Time: Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Location: Franklin Hall on the Indiana University Bloomington campus (601 E Kirkwood Ave). For both drop-off and pick-up, the meeting spot for the photography workshop will be in the Franklin Hall common area (under the big screen).
- Workshop description: During this photography workshop students will have the chance to learn from a local small business owner and photographer Sammy Nance-Murphy. The workshop will cover basic composition, the importance of candid coverage and some iPhone photo tips. Please bring some of your best work (photos or yearbook pages) as there will be time for constructive critique and questions!
- Cost: Free. Students must bring their own sack lunch.
Registration is required to attend the workshop. Additional information and a liability form will be sent via email before the workshop.
