The High School Journalism Institute offers scholarships for high school students who need financial assistance to attend the HSJI journalism workshops.
You must be registering for a five-day workshop and entering your freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year in high school to be eligible. Special consideration will be given to those students who without financial support may not have the opportunity to attend journalism workshops, investigate media careers, or sample campus life by attending a precollege program.
If you receive a scholarship, your tuition and room will be paid for, and you will receive a 12-swipe meal card at registration. If you plan to purchase and drinks, snacks, or meals in local cafe or restaurant, you’ll need to bring personal funding to supplement the card.
