William McDermott recently graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's Degree in media and a concentration in sports media. At IU, he was a beat reporter covering the Indiana men's basketball program for three seasons, was co-sports director at WIUX for two years, and did play-by-play for Big Ten+ television broadcasts. This past year, he served as the host for the Louisville Cardinals sports radio network through Learfield, where he hosted pregame, halftime, and postgame shows for UofL football and men's basketball games. He's a freelance play-by-play broadcaster for local radio and streaming networks and continues to write about Indiana basketball on his blog. He was a TA for the sportscasting section at HSJI in 2024.
