Teresa White is the director of HSJI and a senior lecturer at The Media School, teaching media literacy, introductory reporting, media ethics, and journalism education. She taught high school journalism and English for 23 years in Indiana and has served as an HSJI faculty member for over 20 years.
When she’s not in the classroom, White visits Indiana high schools, working as a consultant and advocate for scholastic journalism. She’s a member of the Journalism Education Association and Bloomington Press Club, and she serves as secretary for the Scholastic Journalism Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
White's connection to the institute began in 1979, when she attended HSJI as a student journalist.
