Wrestler On The Rise
One year ago, Dylan Miner started Wrestling. Miner had previously played baseball for six years and cross country for 1 year. This past year Miner decided to start a new chapter and adventure in his life. Miner started to wrestle.
“Other sports were similar to wrestling so it wasn’t a huge jump to join wrestling,” Miner said.
Miner has quickly picked up wrestling, he even has attended several academy’s and programs called Regional Training Centers or (RTC) for short. “The academy I attend is called Contenders Wrestling Academy in Greenwood. My experience has been fun, I feel like it will give me a mental advantage.” Miner said.
Miners dedication and commitment does not go unnoticed. His stellar mindset on improving his mindset, and skill. Though he has only wrestled for a year Miner has had many accomplishments already. “My biggest accomplishment is when I beat a varsity player even though I was on J.V., (I also) won the Axe Award,” Miner said.
Miner hopes to have success while wrestling for his school (Greenwood High School). Miner has a lot to look forward to going into his Sophomore year, and it could be a game changing year for him.
“This season I hope to be on Varsity, or have a winning record on J.V., I would also like to be team captain eventually,” Miner said.
